Having used both SimplePractice and TheraNest personally, I’ve learned that the “best” system truly depends on your workflow, caseload, and preferences. SimplePractice offers excellent customization templates, but their pricing has increased over time — the base plan rose from $29 to $49 — and that entry-level tier does not include appointment reminders.
TheraNest, on the other hand, has a daily schedule layout that I prefer visually, but their pricing model charges based on the number of active clients, which can become expensive as your caseload grows.
